HOW LONG WAS THE FILM?
The film, according to multiple sources, had a roughly 90 minute runtime.
WHY WAS THERE NO HOME RELEASE?
It was recently confirmed by director Junichi Hayama that a DVD version was being worked on after the film's theatrical run, even with assistance from series author Hirohiko Araki; however, Shueisha claimed that they would "take care of everything" and "make [it] presentable", only to go completely silent after receiving the film's assets.
WAS A SEQUEL PLANNED?
There were no plans for a sequel to cover JoJo's second part, Battle Tendency. While storyboards appeared online for what appeared to be a Battle Tendency adaptation, these were primarily used as a bonus feature for the Stardust Crusaders OVA's in order to tell the story of the Joestar bloodline until the events of the OVA's.
WHY WAS THERE CUT CONTENT?
This can primarily be boiled down to time constraints. In order to fit the entirety of Phantom Blood's 5 manga volumes into an hour and a half feature film, certain characters, scenes, and arcs needed to be cut.
