HOW LONG WAS THE FILM?
The exact length of the film has yet to be determined; however, from what we could gather from several sources, it seems to have been around an hour and a half in length.
WHY WAS THERE NO HOME RELEASE?
The exact answer to this can merely be speculated upon. The most common theory is that due to the Qur'an controversy that Another Push Pin Planning went through in 2008, the film's home release was shelved. However, Junichi Hayama, the film's director, made a tweet implying that the film was slated to get a DVD release, but was shelved for unknown reasons.

WAS A SEQUEL PLANNED?
There were no plans for a sequel to cover JoJo's second part, Battle Tendency. While storyboards appeared online for what appeared to be a Battle Tendency adaptation, these were primarily used as a bonus feature for the Stardust Crusaders OVA's in order to tell the story of the Joestar bloodline until the events of the OVA's.
WHY WAS THERE CUT CONTENT?
This can primarily be boiled down to time constraints. In order to fit the entirety of Phantom Blood's 5 manga volumes into an hour and a half feature film, certain characters, scenes, and arcs needed to be cut.
