OUR MISSION
Our goal is to get Phantom Blood rereleased and back into the public eye.
Ever since Phantom Blood's theatrical release in February of 2007, fans were wondering if the film would ever see a home release. Years would go by, and the hopes of a home release were seemingly lost. Lost media hunters and JoJo fans alike would begin to wonder if a copy still existed somewhere in the world, and they would begin digging for answers.
The production studio behind the film, Another Push Pin Planning, shut its doors in 2023. In addition, it's been confirmed by director Junichi Hayama in an interview in Animeland magazine that while a DVD version was being made with corrections from series author Hirohiko Araki, Shueisha claimed that they would "take care of everything" and "make [it] presentable", seized the film's assets, and have been silent about it ever since. Since the series' rights are held by Shueisha, it can be safely assumed that they are the ones in direct control over the film.
As such, we want them to either come forward about the film's current fate, rerelease the film to the public once again, or in the best case scenario, both.
THE SEARCH CONTINUES!
On April 16th, 2019, the Phantom Blood Archives Discord server was created by a handful of individuals dedicated to the search. This would soon become a hub for anyone curious about the film itself, or anyone who was interested in hunting for it. This newfound growth of interest would catch the attention of numerous prominent lost media hunters, as well as figureheads in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure community.
To this day, there are many mysteries surrounding the film and its related promotional material.
