Hey everybody!
Through some technical wizardry that I don't know too much about, thecalicrusher and SlindexMon have brought forward recovered YouTube videos that were thought to be lost to time!
First of all, video footage of the Joint Press Conference, taken from Bandai's old website! It was split into two parts, so I spliced them together.
Second, two videos of an interview with Hirohiko Araki, taken from both Bandai's website, as well as the film's old website.
Third, an interview with Katsuyuki Konishi (Jonathan) and Hikaru Midorikawa (Dio), taken from the film's old website:
Finally, a short interview with SOUL'd OUT, also from the fim's website.
FOR CLARIFICATION: These videos were originally taken from Bandai's website and the film's old website and re-uploaded to YouTube before being taken down - through these YouTube links we were able to recover them.
After recovering these videos, we had come to the conclusion that the "Know the Movie Version" video was not, in fact, a video - rather, it was a tab on Bandai's old website that contained the footage of the Press Conference, as well as the interview with Hirohiko Araki. So that's another thing that's been cleared up.
We're actively looking for old YouTube links related to the film to potentially have recovered, so if you happen to find any, send them our way either through the website or through the Discord server. The tabs here on the site have been updated with all of these new findings, as well as the viewer testimonies, as we've found some new ones over the past few months that give a pretty clear image of what the climax of the film was like. Honestly, some of this stuff sounds sick on paper, between Dio terraforming a castle and Zeppeli wielding a Hamon-infused sword... was this supposed to be Jonathan's movie or Zeppeli's?
Some people have asked me about the #ReleasePhantomBlood2007 social media campaign I proposed months ago - the meat of the campaign is, in fact, being worked on! It's just taking more time than I'd like, between work and health issues getting in the way on my end. Until everything starts rolling out, keep spreading the hashtag and keep getting the word out!
Anyway, I think that's all I've got for now.
Until next time, stay positive my friends, and here's to finding the movie!
